Location: 401 Chandler Hall
- Main Goal: to develop a fairly rigorous background in radiative processes relevant to various branches of astrophysics.
- Required Book: Radiative Processes in Astrophysics", by G.B. Rybicki and A.P. Lightman.
- I will also use Jules Halpern's lecture notes.
- Problem Sets: Approximately 8 problem sets will be handed out.
- Exams: There will be a shorter midterm and a longer final.
- Grading: Homework (50%), Final (30%), Midterm (20%), Participation (10%)
