PhD Astronomy Graduate Student

I am a graduate student in the Astronomy Department at Columbia University. I am interested in the role of gas in galaxy growth and evolution. The core of my thesis is CHILES (COSMOS HI Large Extragalactic Survey), an on-going 1000 hour survey done with the VLA that is imaging the HI content of galaxies from z=0 to z=0.5. This is the first blind HI survey to probe HI beyond the local Universe.

As an undergraduate, I did a joint program between Vassar College and Dartmouth College, getting degrees in Physics and Astronomy, and in Engineering Sciences. I then became a Bridge-to-PhD scholar at Columbia University, followed by entering the PhD program.
