Rim Hike on Oahu

This is a ~6-7? mile hike. It starts at the end of one of the neighborhoods that climb up onto the ridge, and continues upwards as the ridge narrows eventually reaching a peak. I wish I knew what the name of the neighborhood, or what the name of the peak was. After reaching the peak you just have to wend your way back. Brandon hiked with me.
You can see downtown Honolulu in the top right, and Diamond Head Crater in the top left.

It was blazingly hot when we started to hike, but as we ascended into the clouds, it became much cooler and windier.

Leaving reality behind.

Up to the Peak.

The peak. This is a shot of the end of the world. The wind was buffeting up here. The clouds rolled over us, pouring back down the way we came. They were so thick, we could see them wisping between us. It felt like there was a huge creature out there, you just couldn't see it. We sat down and ate a sandwich.

And then, amazingly, the clouds broke, and is it ever a long way straight down!

The lighter color ocean is hanauma bay.
