GMACS
Galaxy Multiwavelength Atlas from Combined Surveys
This page contains a collection of data for a sample of galaxies observed spectroscopically by SDSS but also by GALEX, Spitzer, and (of course) 2MASS. Each catalog type contains a slightly different kind of data about the objects in the GMACS sample.
For each catalog type we give the catalog for the Lockman Hole, for the Spitzer First Look Survey (FLS) and the SWIRE ELAIS-N1,2 fields. The summary catalogs are the best place to start; they include all SDSS DR4 galaxies with either Spitzer or GALEX imaging coverage in the regions. The aperture photometry catalogs, one for each band, are little difficult to use
Except for the summary catalogs and a few of the Spitzer catalogs (morphology, Petrosian photometry, and IR photometry summary) , all catalogs are matched line-by-line, e.g. the 483rd entry in the SFR catalog is the same object as the 483rd entry of the GALEX catalog. The summary catalogs catalogs include a subset of the objects in the other catalogs (only those objects in the large, arbitrary square superset region observed, but not necessarily detected, by Spitzer and/or GALEX), and the matching can be done using the 'INDEX' field of the 'measured' summary catalog (i.e. the value of the INDEX field of the 285th entry in the 'measured' catalog is the line number (zero-indexed) of that same object in the superset catalogs).
All catalogs are FITS binary tables. Single dashes indicate catalogs that might eventually be generated, double dashes are catalogs that would require significant effort. See also this README
