Statement of Work
We present the following budget as an estimate for a focal plane camera. This is not a formal proposal, which must come only with = University of Arizona authorization.
We propose to purchase a liquid nitrogen dewar and controller = for a 6 CCD mosaic of 2kx2k 15 micron pixel CCDs mounted in edge buttable = packages to be used in TDI mode. Each device will be readout using one = amplifier. An 8 video channel controller will be purchased from Astronomical Research = Cameras, Inc. Controller and focal plane wiring is = included.
A focal plane mount will be designed at ITL and the devices will = be mounted coplanar and installed in the dewar. Analysis of the = alignment will be carried out in the lab with a goal of 30 microns peak-valley flatness = and row/column alignment. Visible light alignment marks must be provided on each = device for final alignment.
Software will be written based on the existing AzCam package = which operates under a Windows server, with remote clients from other = platforms.
The costs of the CCDs and the dewar window are not included = here.
