The analysis of the pulsar timing array data not only reveals a nanohertz gravitational wave background, but may also help us discover individual signals such as gravitational wave bursts generated by the encounters of supermassive black holes, cosmic string cusps/kinks, etc.. In this talk, I will share our recent work where we propose an efficient Bayesian approach to search for the strongest burst signal on the sky map with a time scale of O(1) years.
